The Fidget Drawer
Kaleidoscope Drawing
Draw a line and it repeats around the centre in mirrored segments, so every doodle turns into a symmetrical pattern. Scribbles become patterns and wobbles become flowers: there is no way to get it wrong.
How to play
- Draw with a mouse, a finger or a pen. Each line repeats in every segment around the centre.
- Segments chooses 6, 8, 12 or 16. Mirror on reflects every segment too; Mirror off turns the pattern like a pinwheel. Changing these only affects new lines.
- Brush chooses Fine, Medium or Bold. Soft brush draws see-through lines that glow where they overlap, and Rainbow ink shifts colour along each line.
- Undo and Redo step back and forward (Ctrl or Cmd + Z, and Shift + Ctrl or Cmd + Z). Clear starts again, and Undo brings a cleared drawing back.
- Doodle for me draws a flowing line for you. Save picture keeps a copy as my-mandala.png, and your drawing is kept in this browser for next time.
- With the drawing area selected, the keyboard works too: arrow keys move the pen dot (Shift moves faster), Space puts the pen down or lifts it, Enter finishes the line, 1 to 4 choose the segments and M switches the mirror.
- Calm mode clears without fading and draws doodles straight away.
