The Fidget Drawer
Constellation Join
Tap from star to star to draw lines of light and make constellations of your own, or choose a real one to trace. When it is finished it glows with its name, and offers a piece from the Library’s Star Stuff and Living Things hall.
How to play
- Tap or click a star, then another, to join them. The line carries on from the last star, so you can keep going. Dragging from star to star works too.
- Tap empty sky to stop the line. Tap a line to choose it, then Delete line removes it. Undo takes back the last line, and Clear sky starts again.
- Choose Trace from the Sky list to follow a real constellation’s dotted outline, in any order. Extra lines are fine: they drift away when it is finished.
- Under Name, save and picture you can name your own constellation, keep up to 20 in this browser, open them again, and save a picture.
- Calm mode stills the twinkling and the shooting stars. Pause stops all movement.
- With the sky selected, the keyboard works too: arrow keys move between stars, Enter starts or continues a line, Escape stops it, Backspace undoes, Delete removes a line, and G opens the list of constellations.
